In Sri Lanka travel restrictions were imposed over a month to curb spreading of coronavirus, is producing good results, and to sustain it the authorities must continue with the island-wide travel restrictions.
It is necessary to allow time for vaccination process taking place at present to be completed. For, the daily death count is still high and the Sri Lanka Medical Association has requested to continue the island-wide travel restrictions.
It is regrettable that there have been regular violations of travel restrictions. Sadly, some people are still ignorant of seriousness of the pandamic situation in the country. As they have completely ignored the travel restrictions.
Under this scenario, all citizens irrespective of where they are in the island should support health workers and authorities to control the pandemic by strictly following the health guidelines and practices. To achieve this all Sri Lankans should leave behind their personal or political agenda and unite as one nation!
