Today, the same flawed constitution has benefited Ranil Wickremesinghe, J.R. Jayawardene’s nephew. So it is safe to say that JR would be furious if he knew what happened in Parliament on July 20!
Sri Lanka’s constitution referred to the Draconian Constitution is riddled with flaws and hastily prepared for an ambitious, aging political leader, JR Jayawardena; it was subsequently amended many times to enhance powers.
Under this sinario, Sri Lankans must rid of this Draconian Constitution that has been amended 21 times already!
