If a general election were to be held in Sri Lanka today, the victory of one of the Tamil National contenders in the Northern Province would once again be interpreted as the people’s mandate for a federal solution. And whatever the winning parties and their leaders find attractive at the time, it will continue to be unacceptable to a Sinhalese government that wins the whole of Sri Lanka in a general election.
Even if the current President or any other Sinhalese leader takes over the position, the situation will continue in an irreversible state of disrepair. So it is the responsibility of all the ethnic people in the country to do what is necessary to change this situation.
It is not an exaggeration to say that anyone living in the country will not have freedom until all ethnic and religious people realize this; for it is only they can do this; We, the patriots, expect this party to change without any hesitation!
